Night Sky Obsession.

I have found myself obsessing more and more about learning night sky photography! I want to learn but I just don’t feel myself grasping the concept! The picture below i got after playing around with ALL settings on my camera for over an hour…So don’t even ask me what my settings were because I have no idea!

Of course This isn’t the image that was produced by my camera, I hyped it up a bit using photo shop. Here is the originals that I merged together:

These were taking with my 200 mm lens… I do have exciting news though!!!  My hubby just ordered me a 25x-75x up to 7500 mm telescope with Nikon adapter!!! Early birthday present! It’s coming from china so it probably wont be here until my birthday anyways. (It was much cheaper buying it this way than buy a telescopic lens for close to $2000) Taking pictures of the night sky you need a tripod anyways so this just seemed like a smart buy! I cannot wait until it arrives!

One last night sky/edit :

As Always thanks for taking the time to read my blog.

  1. night sky is one I’ve been having issues figuring out as well…higher ISOs seem to help capture the stars best…you can’t really get a good photo with a nice detail shot of the moon AND stars though without combining photos, since the moon is so much brighter…if you do manage to get one let me know how! lol
